Exmouth in Bloom volunteers were ‘saddened and angry’ to discover its award-winning swan boat floral display has been vandalised.
The iconic Exmouth swan boat, ridden in by thousands over decades, became a new visitor favourite when bloom volunteers earlier this year filled it with flowers and displayed it by Exmouth’s LED swimming pool.
In the early hours of Monday, November 12, the swan’s head was seen lying in Manchester Road, Exmouth, snapped off from the body of the boat.
A spokeswoman for Exmouth in Bloom said: “What motivates people to do this and what pleasure do people get from doing this?”
