Exmouth supermarket crooner sings for injured troops

Iceland home delivery driver Ian Boyd helped raise more than �1,000 when he serenaded customers in Exmouth

Former X-Factor and Stars in their Eyes contestant Ian Boyd, a home delivery driver for Iceland, in The Parade, serenaded customers in store in a bid to raise cash for the wounded heroes.

Mr Boyd, who two years ago made it as far as Boot Camp on X-Factor, also sold a CD single to customers to further boost the fundraising efforts.

Iceland duty manager, Becky Keenan, who helped organise the event, said: “The customers loved it. Some of them got up to join in.”
