Exmouth: successful start to charity’s coffee month

A coffee morning in aid of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare raised £593 for the charity.
Franklins, on The Strand, donated all their takings from the sale of coffee and cake, plus held a raffle, as part of a month-long coffee morning campaign in support of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare.

A month of coffee mornings in aid of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare has got off to a successful start; more than £2,000 has already been raised. Every penny donated to the charity in the EX8 area STAYS in the EX8 area.

A month of coffee mornings in aid of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare is underway and has already raised more than £2,000 for the charity.

Throughout March a host of businesses and individuals are backing the charity – where every penny raised in the EX8 area stays in the EX8 area - with a month of events and get-togethers.

Cranford Sports Centre’s coffee event raised £276; Kings Garden Centre £513.

Local Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare supporters, Amanda and Linda Hockings, who held their event at The Famous Old Barrel, raised £358.

Withycombe Raleigh pensioner Julia Westaway, who held a coffee morning in memory of her husband, Dave, who died from cancer and was supported by the charity, raised £387.

Franklins, on The Strand, donated all their takings from the sale of coffee and cake and a raffle, raising £593.

There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved. Businesses already planning to ‘bake the world a better place’ with coffee morning events for Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare are:
