Archant

An Exmouth Slimming World consultant who completed the London Marathon said it was a case of ‘mind over legs’.

Lisa Boucher and fellow consultant David Marks (pictured) realised long-held dreams when they crossed the finish line on Sunday.

Lisa said her overriding emotions were relief and happiness, adding: “I was really happy that I didn’t walk any of it – that was a goal for me. To finish and to know I didn’t drop – I was really happy.

“I knew, because of the training, that I could run 22 miles, so then it was just case counting the miles down – it was a case of mind over legs.”
