Additional information in a planning application to build temporary attractions on the former Exmouth Fun Park site reveal East Devon District Council is in talks with Taste of the West to provide a summer food festival.
Further details have been revealed on the temporary attractions set for the former Exmouth Fun Park site.
New planning papers have outlined what East Devon District Council (EDDC) has in mind for the Queens Drive site.
In December 2017, the authority submitted a planning application to build temporary attractions on the former fun park - which evicted from the site in September.
EDDC has now confirmed that it is negotiations for a six-week food festival, in partnership with Taste of the West, for the former boating lake – dubbed the ‘food/seating zone’.
It also says the boating lake would be drained and replaced with loose materials and sand to make it suitable for a seating area.
The letter, from EDDC’s regeneration and economic development senior manager, also said a programme of activity for the events zone could start in May with the Exmouth Festival.
East Devon District Council planners will have the final say on the application.
