Firefighters from Exmouth were called to the seafront folwloing reports a double-decker bus was on fire.
Reports a double-decker bus was on fire on Exmouth seafront prompted the town’s fire service to respond.
Exmouth firefighters were called to the Esplanade, on Queens Drive, on Tuesday afternoon where they confirmed a small fire had broken out in the engine compartment of the bus.
The fire was out on the crews’ arrival so the firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire had not spread internally.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The cause of this fire was accidental mechanical fault.”
