Lord and Lady Clinton talk for Exmouth Royal British Legion branch

Members of Exmouth’s Royal British Legion (RBL) were treated to a talk about the Clinton family.

Lord and Lady Clinton were the guests of honour at the RBL’s latest social evening at Wings Bar at the RAFA club.

A packed house was entertained as the lord and lady spoke about the Clinton family and the close connections to the Cold Stream Guards, including three generations of their family who all served in the forces.

Also, two members of the RBL – president Dave Turner and standard bearer Darren New – took part in the GP90 parade on at the weekend in commemoration of World War Two.

The four-day event saw the two representing the RBL and Exmouth, laying numerous crosses as well as a specially commissioned wreath from the town.

They visited numerous sites from the war culminating with a parade at the Menin Gate.
