An Exmouth man has received an award from the RNLI in recognition of more than 40 years of fundraising.

Donald Robinson, 90, a resident of Fernihurst Nursing Home in Douglas Avenue, was presented with a gold badge and bar by Teignmouth RNLI, having served in roles including shoreline fundraiser, chairman and president.

His son Richard said: “My father has always been fond of his connections with the RNLI and, as a family, we are all very proud of them as well.”
