An exercise turned into a rescue for Exmouth’s RNLI new inshore lifeboat.
The volunteer rescue team were called out, while on a navigation exercise in their George Bearman II, to a man and a woman who had gone aground near Turf Locks on Monday, January 23.
The casualties were towed into the channel and escorted to safety, at Topsham Quay, before the tide went out.
