A floating restaurant moored in the River Exe near Exmouth has been nominated for a national award.

The River Exe Café will go up against nine other establishments from across the UK in the hope of being named the national coastal fish restaurant of the year.

Head chef Chris Dayer said: “I love working with local fishermen and suppliers to get the best I can for our customers.

“It is an honour to even be nominated and a great start to the season.”

To win this award, the cafe needs people to vote for them by going to www.fishingnewsawards.co.uk

Voting is now open and polls close on Wednesday, May 6.
