Archant

Exmouth's Repair Café is back this Saturday (October 7) in Tower Street Methodist church, from 10am to 1pm.

You are encouraged to bring along something that’s broken from home, and the café’s volunteer repairers will help fix it.

It could be a toy, clothing (repairs not alterations), an electrical item (not microwaves or electric blankets), jewellery or a small piece of furniture.

Advice will be given and refreshments are available.

This café also sees the launch of a ‘How To’ session.

On Saturday, the volunteers will be showing you how to change a tap washer (10.30am-11am) and the basics of how to use a sewing machine (11.30am-12.30pm). There’s also the option of bringing your own sewing machine, but you are asked to bring its instruction manual.

Future sharing of knowledge will include mending a bicycle puncture and changing a wheel, and basic knitting/crochet.
