Exmouth’s Madeira Bowling Club members raised £516 for the Scope charity thanks to collections held during the matches.
Danny Doran, from the Madeira Bowling Club, said: “I empathise with Scope as I have two grandchildren who have cerebral palsy.
“I finished my working life as a learning support assistant with young adults with both physical and learning difficulties which gave me the incentive to do something to help; that is why I chose Scope.”
Vanessa Guy, Scope shop manager, in Exeter Road, Exmouth, said the funds would help the charity support disabled people and their families.
She said: “We are bowled over by the generosity of the Madeira Bowling Club’s amazing fundraising for Scope.
“We believe anyone working to challenge negative attitudes and celebrate disability is a game changer.
“Change requires action at all levels in society; everyone can play their part.
“The members of the Madeira Bowling Club have definitely played their part.”
