Exmouth’s James, 21, graduates as a Royal Navy weapons engineer

An Exmouth man is celebrating after graduating as a weapons engineer from HMS Collingwood, Fareham, in Hampshire.

James Helmann, 21, joined the Royal Navy in June 2015. He completed the weapon engineering technicians’ course.

He received his medal from Commodore Graeme Little, OBE, deputy chief naval engineer office.

James, who studied at Exmouth Community College, said he know wants to join his first ship and put his skills into practice.
