THE POPULAR A la Ronde visitor attraction has chosen its object of the month.

The object is a mahogany tea caddy which can be seen in the dining room.

Lesley Strong, property administrator at A la Ronde, near Exmouth, said: "Tea drinking has a fascinating social history and we are letting the caddy tell the story for us.

"There are all sorts of ceremonies and social etiquettes associated with the taking of tea and this beautiful object represents the important role this drink has played in our cultural heritage.
