EXMOUTH Rotary Club presented Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club with a cheque for 7226 to aid its flooding misery.
When the town's Rotary Club heard the cricket club suffered a double flood blow at the end of 2008 and faced an uncertain future, the group set about finding the funds needed to get the cricket club back on track.
The Rotarians contacted their national central flood fund and successfully applied for a cash grant to help the stricken club - which was hit by floodwater when the River Otter twice burst its banks last autumn.
The cricket club was awarded 7226 by the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI).
