EXMOUTH'S RNLI crew rescued two men to safety after a vessel they were towing sunk.
Brixham coastguards last Thursday night tasked the all-weather lifeboat Margaret Jean following reports a 10-metre motor boat, with two men on board, was suffering from mechanical difficulties in the estuary.
When the crew arrived they discovered the motorboat had been towing another boat, which had sunk when the ropes and lines from the two vessels became entwined.
The crew took the two men ashore and arranged for them to collect their vessels the following day when the high wind had subsided.
