Exmouth RNLI on alert to rescue Budleigh Salterton residents trapped in floods

HOMES in Budleigh Salterton continue to be hampered by rising floodwater and Exmouth lifeboat crew has been on standby this morning waiting to hear if their services were needed.

HOMES in Budleigh Salterton continue to be hampered by rising floodwater and Exmouth lifeboat crew has been on standby this morning waiting to hear if their services were needed.

Many residents living in Granary Lane are trapped in their homes by floodwater and it was thought the only way of freeing them was to task the RNLI boarding boat.

Exmouth RNLI has currently been stood down while coastguards and the police assess the situation.
