Exmouth RNLI gears up for sea Sunday service

Exmouth RNLI is gearing up for its annual sea Sunday service on July 14, where prayers will be said at the boathouse, in Queen’s Drive, for those who work and live by the sea.

Exmouth RNLI is inviting people along to its annual sea Sunday service, later this month.

Exmouth RNLI is gearing up for its annual sea Sunday service on July 14, where prayers will be said at the boathouse, in Queen’s Drive, for those who work and live by the sea.

Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir and Exmouth Town Concert Band will perform during the service, plus there will be readings from members of the Exmouth lifeboat fundraising team.

A collection will be held during the service to raise money towards the launch and recovery vehicle appeal for the new Shannon-class lifeboat, due to arrive in Exmouth in 2014.

Deputy Second Coxswain, Steve Hockings-Thompson will be the flag bearer for the occasion and other station volunteers will also attend the service.

The service will be led by Reverend James Hutchings, Priest-in-charge at Holy Trinity as well as Littleham-cum-Exmouth with Lympstone Mission Community.
