Exmouth RNLI has revealed the date for the official opening of the new boathouse, near the Maer.
The charity said the ceremony will take place on September 4 - some ten months after the crew moved into the facilities.
The rededication of the all-weather lifeboat, Margaret Jean, will take place during the opening.
Newly-appointed lifeboat management group chairman Tim Baker said: "It's been a huge community effort to raise more than two million pounds needed to get the boathouse built and that money has come from every sector of the community.
"I think it's a wonderful celebration that we've been able to raise this money and it's entirely appropriate that we have a proper and formal ceremony for it.
