EXMOUTH inshore lifeboat rescued two people whose jet-ski had broken down some three miles offshore near Sidmouth.

The lifeboat crew was launched on Sunday lunchtime and towed the vessel back to shore.

On advice of Exmouth coastguard, the lifeboat crew brought the jet-ski casualties back to Sandy Bay where a waiting ambulance gave medical attention to a male suffering from the cold.

The coastguard team also arranged the safe return of the jet-ski because the inshore lifeboat was re-launched to another job.
