Exmouth police were called to Littleham on Tuesday afternoon after receiving a report a man was shooting an air rifle at a target in a garden in Nelson Drive.

Devon and Cornwall Police said concerns were raised because of the distance the air rifle pellets were travelling.

A spokesperson said a man, thought to be in his early 20s, had been spoken to by an officer.

The spokesperson added: “An air weapon was being used to shoot a target in a garden.

“The pellets were going between the boundaries of the garden.

“A police community support officer went down to Nelson Drive.”
