Efforts have been made to encourage hedgehogs in Exmouth.

East Devon District Council Countryside rangers have worked with the council’s community development team and residents to create a bug hotel on a green space near Mountain Close.

Bug hotels encourage invertebrates and insects - a good source of food for hedgehogs - and can also be used as a home for them to nest.

Trainee ranger Laura Goble said: “It is great to have worked with residents in Exmouth to help people encourage more wildlife into their local areas.”
