The youngsters were on Monday visited by Lieutenant Colonel Ritchie from the Royal Marine Commando Training Centre, at Lympstone, where they presented him with a cheque for 543.40, for the charity.
The cash was raised through the school's Christmas Productions.

The spokeswoman said: "Lieutenant Colonel Ritchie thanked the children personally for the significant amount of the donation and talked about the work that Help for Heroes do in supporting members of the armed forces who have been wounded in their service of the country.
