BRIXINGTON Primary School pupils have been learning the importance of getting their five-a-day as part of their design and technology project.
As well as sampling a variety of tropical fruits such as Sharon fruit, mangoes, passion fruits, pomegranates and papaya, the pupils designed and made their own tropical dishes.
Class teacher Miss Hughesdon said: "The children had a fantastic experience and enjoyed trying fruits that we wouldn't normally get the chance to try.
"Tesco's community champion Helen Joscelyne ensured the children were supplied with plenty of fruit to help them get a feel for the variety of fruits that can be bought.
