EXMOUTH police monitoring Brixington traffic speeds have revealed vehicles travelling along Valley Way were 'overwhelmingly' under the speed limit.
Brixington community support officer Chris Ball, using a speed indication device (SID), carried out checks in the area after receiving complaints from concerned residents.
Officers said they would continue to monitors Brixington traffic speeds.
PC Dave Evans said: "Overwhelmingly vehicles were well below the speed limit of 30mph.
"In fact it was a perceived problem not requiring any enforcement.
"We have been working in partnership with Devon Highways and hope to able to introduce a number of speed detection devices along the whole stretch of Dinan Way over the coming months. "Speeding vehicles continues to be a major concern from residents in this area.
