The police at Brixington say anti-social behaviour by youths has decreased since seats were removed from the local park.

Officers said congregating youth dispersed once the covered seating area at Brixington Park was taken away.

Police community support officer Chris Ball said: “It was found that youngsters would congregate on evenings, drinking alcohol and leaving their litter everywhere.

“But now they do not have somewhere to sit, it has removed the problem by removing their comfort zone.”
