POLICE in Brixington have reported a reduction in crime - saying they are committed to tackling issues that affect residents and businesses.

Officers say they are keen to listen to the community's concerns and plan to carry out a number of crime crackdowns in the following months.

PC Dave Evans said: "If there is evidence of nuisance behaviour in your area such as discarded alcohol containers, or large groups congregating, then please contact us and let us know so that we can target those areas.

"By tackling these problems at the source it helps to reduce crimes such as criminal damage, which are costly and upsetting to victims.
