EXMOUTH police are urging people to lock their front and back doors in a bid to stamp out crime.
To help crack down on burglars, Exmouth town neighbourhood policing team is offering free security checks to all.
Police community support officer Karen Capey said: "If you cannot see your front or back door, it must be locked at all times, day or night, even if the occupants are inside the property."
