Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed that Exmouth is set to have two new police officers
Police numbers in Exmouth are set to be boosted as new recruits join the town.
Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed that Exmouth is set to have two more police officers to add to the seven who have joined since last summer.
Exmouth Police Inspector Antonia Weeks said: “Recent recruitment has improved our numbers and the response teams are now fully staffed. “Sadly we have said goodbye to some of our longer serving colleagues who have retired but the new officers bring with them a wealth of experience.
“Some have been special constables and PCSOs, others have skills gained in other organisations and careers.
“All of them will contribute to the team and community.”
Police officers work from Exmouth Police Station, in North Street, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, alongside the neighbourhood team and PCSOs as well as a team of detectives undertaking more complex investigations.
