BRIXINGTON residents are having their voice heard by Exmouth police after police community support officer Chris Ball sent out 5,000 letters to the community inviting people to get in touch.
BRIXINGTON residents are having their voice heard by Exmouth police after police community support officer Chris Ball sent out 5,000 letters to the community inviting people to get in touch.
He said the returned collated replies showed four main issues - speeding traffic, litter, dog mess and anti-social behaviour - concerned the community.
PCSO Ball said the police had set the ball in motion tackling the issues raised by residents.
He said a litter pick-up event had already taken place, in conjunction with the Exmouth Tidy Group and the Brixington Improvement Group (BIG).
And anti-social behaviour had been dealt with after the police successfully dealt with two culprits responsible for making residents' lives a misery.
The police said plans are in place to team up with the civil parking enforcement officer to tackle speeding and vehicle issues.
While the police next month plan to fine dog owners who fail to pick up after their pets.
