Exmouth police are continuing to investigate a spate vandalism carried out in the run up to the general election.

Officers said a number of campaign billboards were targeted with graffiti in the lead up to day.

Inspector Jez Capey said: "The run up to the election was relatively quiet in Exmouth and polling day itself went smoothly. "The PCSOs and neighbourhood beat managers ensured that each station was visited at least once during the day.

"We anticipate continuing our good working relationship with our elected representative.
