POLICE in Exmouth are appealing for witnesses after a young mum was assaulted in the town.
Officers said the incident took place at around 10.50am on Thursday March 25 when the 21-year-old victim left with her baby in a pushchair via the Magnolia Walk entrance of Soccer Sport.
As she left the store, she almost collided with a couple by accident. A Devon and Cornwall police spokesperson said: "As she walked between the pair, the man struck her on the back. She was not injured."
The man is described as being aged either in his late 50s or early 60s, of medium build, between 5ft 4in to 5ft 8in tall and with dark hair.
He was wearing a beige/sandy-coloured knee-length coat, similar coloured trousers and red/tan coloured shoes.
