Officers said the damage was caused in mid-September and man was arrested and interviewed on Sunday October 3.

Exmouth neighbourhood police team leader Nick Southern said: “A full admission resulted in the male receiving a conditional caution to pay compensation to the aggrieved parties.”

A boy’s black BMX bicycle has been stolen from a garden in Lympstone, prompting a police appeal for witnesses.

Officers at Exmouth said the bike was taken sometime overnight on Friday October 1 and the following day.
