EXMOUTH police are urging anyone who has been offered second-hand car stereo equipment or CDs to buy, to get in touch.

EXMOUTH police are urging anyone who has been offered second-hand car stereo equipment or CDs to buy, to get in touch.

The appeal comes after a white Peugeot 106 hatchback was broken into while parked in Littleham Road between 11pm on Monday and 10am on Tuesday.

Stolen from the vehicle was a Sony CD player, Shark amplifier, Blanpunkt satellite navigation system and a number of CDs.

Littleham neighbourhood beat manager PC Sallyanne Southern said: "People need to be mindful that it's an offence to handle stolen goods."

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact PC Southern at Exmouth police station or ring Crimestoppers, quoting reference KE/09/2237.
