East Devon District Council's environmental health service and the local animal wardens are running a prize draw competition for dog owners 'caught doing right'.
Exmouth Pets at Home manager Nicky Duckett presented dog owner Tracy Bright with a �50 voucher after she was seen picking up after her 18-month-old Jack Russell terrier, Zacky, during a walk in Honiton.
Councillor Jill Elson, an Exmouth resident who has responsibility for the team operating the award scheme, said: "We believe this scheme has a very positive impact on the problem of dog fouling, which still remains a major public concern.
