Brixington police neighbourhood beat manager PC Jason Colcutt is leaving Exmouth to join Honiton CID. Read this and more.

HOSPITALITY OFFER: The RAFA Club, in Imperial Road, is opening its doors to the public.

The club offers lunch, Sunday roasts, a bar, pool, darts and live music.

You do not have to be a member of the Royal Air Forces Association. Members of the public are invited to ask at the bar for details and for a club membership form.

CALL FOR MEMBERS: Budding writers, and literary fans are being called on to join Exmouth Writers’ Circle. The club is open to all who write, would like to write or just enjoy reading.

Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month at 2pm, at the Pilgrim Room, at the rear of Glenorchy Church, in Exeter Road.

NEW POSTING: Brixington police neighbourhood beat manager PC Jason Colcutt is leaving Exmouth to join Honiton CID.

Devon and Cornwall police said it would announce shortly the new neighbourhood police officer for the area.

CHARITY MUSIC: Devon-based hip hop jazz fusion band The Breaks Collective last weekend performed at the Royal Navy boxing championships, held at Lympstone.

The band, formed in Barnstaple, played before 1,000 Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

The band said the boxing event was the chance to showcase their talents and unveil tracks from their soon-to-be-launched album, Stepping Stone.

All profits from album tracks Great Britain and Poetry will be equally donated to The Marines’ C Group Charity and RNLI.
