An application has been submitted for the 28-metre high observation wheel to return to Exmouth seafront for the next two summer seasons.
A 28-metre high observation wheel is set to return to Exmouth seafront this summer - and could also come back for the 2019 season.
An application has been submitted to East Devon District Council (EDDC) for the temporary change of use of the land at Beach Gardens on the Esplanade, for the installation of the wheel.
The attraction proved popular with residents and visitors last summer and it is hoped it can return for the next two tourist seasons.
If given the go-ahead, the wheel would be up between March 24 and September 6 this year and would return between April 15 and September 8 in 2019.
The wheel will again be sited on an area of land opposite Exmouth Pavilion and will be run by Somerset-based company Mi-Wheel, which has submitted the application.
This application is not part of EDDC’s plans to build temporary attractions on the Exmouth seafront regeneration site.
EDDC will decide on the application.
