A HUSBAND and wife team who promote murder mystery and treasure hunt walks in Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Topsham have won an award for customer service.

A HUSBAND and wife team who promote murder mystery and treasure hunt walks in Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Topsham have won an award for customer service.

Rod Tilke, 42, and wife Sandy, 43, won a silver award in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, for their work with Treasure Trails.

Mr and Mrs Tilke provide murder mystery walking trails for Exmouth, the treasure hunt driving trail for the Jurassic Coast, which starts at Exmouth and finishes at Seaton, as well trails for Budleigh Salterton and Topsham - the couple's best-selling walking trail.

Sandy Tilke, manager of the Devon area of Treasure Trails, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to learn that we have been recognised for outstanding customer service within the tourism industry. Our customers come from all corners of the country, and we are extremely proud to represent not just the company, but the whole of the South West in demonstrating exceptional standards of customer care to visitors to Devon.
