A FULL-TIME model has once again proven she can strut her stuff in an effective fashion after winning a UK-wide competition.
Kimberley Jackson, of High Street, Exmouth, scooped first place in the contest, held recently, where people had to vote for the entrants via the social networking site Facebook.
The Catwalk Professor, a well-known celebrity model and catwalk trainer, was involved in the competition.
“It is down to the people of Exmouth for voting for me on Facebook that I did so well,” she said.
“I was overwhelmed with joy when I found out.”
Talented Kimberley, 23, a former Exmouth Community College pupil, is no stranger to modelling success.
Last year she was asked to wear a hat made by Italian designer Ilda DiVico at Royal Ascot’s ladies day.
After attracting the attention of scores of paparazzi photographers and subsequently appearing in the national press, she was awarded the best worn hat prize from the Times.
She also landed the best in show from The Daily Mail for being an appropriate model to show off the head gear.
Furthermore, the model starred in a televised fashion show last February at an event held in London to raise money for the Haiti earthquake appeal.
Her mum, Daryl Jackson, from Exmouth, said: “I am really proud of her. As a youngster she was the biggest tom boy you would ever meet.
“She used to run around with baggy trousers and T-shirts. She’s always had legs that seem to go on forever and we would often say that she should become a model.”
