EXMOUTH Christian Aid worker Martin John Nicholls is supporting a new project to support Fairtrade in Palestine.

Olives for Hope will create a friendship link with the West Bank village of Deir Istya - home of Riziq Abu Nasser, a Palestinian farmer who visited Devon during Fairtrade fortnight 2009.

Riziq spent two weeks touring the county and talking about the positive difference Fairtrade has made for his community. Olives for Hope is the result.

An event is being held at the United Reformed Church, Southernhay, Exeter, on Friday June 19 at 7.30pm.

For more details contact Paul Raymond, Olive for Hope coordinator on 07729 492635 or (01392) 43881.
