Exmouth Mayor councillor Brian Cole is urging everyone to ‘wear a hat’ on Thursday, March 29, and raise funds for Brain Tumour Research.

The Mayor of Exmouth is encouraging people to get involved in a national Brain Tumour Research campaign.

Councillor Brian Cole, who has chosen the cause as his mayoral charity for this year, is urging people to take part in Wear a Hat Day on Thursday, March 29.

The day will see schools, workplaces, families and individuals fundraising for Brain Tumour Research.

Moved by the vital work done by the charity, Mr Cole has already signed up a number of businesses to take part, including Specsavers, as well as council staff.

He is now appealing for others to join them by holding their own Wear A Hat Day events.

Mr Cole said: “Every year, more than 16,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour in the UK, and this cause is very close to my heart as brain tumours can attack anyone at any age, from very young children to adults.”
