SCORES of energetic youngsters from an Exmouth martial arts club started off the New Year in celebratory fashion when they attended their belt graduation ceremony.

More than 40 members of Concept Martial Arts, who train at Exeter Road Primary School in Exmouth, attended the graduation on Saturday, January 28.

Jenny Muir, from Concept Martial Arts, said: “It was great to see so many family and friend come to support them, some just getting their first belt!”

Tay Hiscox and Paul Benfield received their black belts after years of hard work and training.

The event was meant to be held in December but was rescheduled to January because of the snow.
