A BRAVE Exmouth man quite literally had a hair-raising night when he took part in a waxing event to raise money for charity.

Steve Montgomery, manager of The Famous Ship Inn, in High Street, was waxed as part of a Help the Heroes night.

Stewart Shram and Mick Phillimore wore fancy dress to help collect £200 at the event. They have raised more than £1000 so far with a raffle and slave auction still to come.
