AN EXMOUTH man sustained burns to his arm following a garden hedge fire at a property in Brixington Lane.

Five metres of hedge caught fire in the front garden of the property, at around 9.49pm last Wednesday, June 9.

Crews extinguished the blaze using two hose reel jets.

A fire authority spokesperson said: "The crew also administered first aid to one male casualty who was treated on scene for slight burns to the arm.
