AN EXMOUTH pensioner is �1000 richer after scooping the top prize in a charity lottery.
Vera Weaver, of Mount Pleasant Avenue, won the sum of money in a Hospiscare lottery last month.
The 74-year-old received her cheque last week and now plans to buy a new cooker.
She said: "It was such a lovely surprise to find out I had won. I would like a new cooker but my husband thinks I should treat myself to something special.

The Hospiscare lottery raises more than �250,000 every year.
