EXMOUTH'S all-weather lifeboat was launched on Saturday evening after it was reported two men aboard a four-metre fishing vessel were in difficulty.

The all-weather lifeboat crew found the vessel had caught its propeller on a piece of rope and the pair onboard were unable to free it.

The lifeboat crew cut the propeller free and escorted the vessel back to Budleigh Salterton beach.

Exmouth coastguards met the stricken vessel and recovered it to the beach before giving safety advice to the men aboard.
