SAILBOARDER SHOUT: Exmouth’s inshore lifeboat was called out following reports of a sailboarder in peril off Shelley beach.
Exmouth Coastwatch received a call from Brixham coastguard, following a 999 call from a member of the public, and scanned the area – but by this time the boarder had remounted and was making his way back to shore.
The lifeboat was launched, and it was then confirmed that the boarder had made it to shore and would seek medical treatment for a bad back.
LICENCE APPLICATION: The landlady of the Bicton Inn, 5 Bicton Street, has applied for a variation in their premises licence to extend their opening hours.
They want to extend licensing hours from 11pm to midnight and the playing of recorded music from 11.30pm to 12.30pm.
BALCONY BID: An application has been lodged to retain a balcony on the flat roof of Flat 4, Croylands Court, 2A Isca Road, Exmouth.
The applicant has legally applied to district planners ‘retrospectively’.
