An Exmouth-based international language school celebrated a recent award by taking its host families out for a party.

Mountlands Language School, Rolle Street, is supported by around 200 families in Exmouth, who offer residence to overseas students.

Around 60 families turned up to a party at The Point Bar and Grill hosted by the school.

The event was arranged to celebrate the school winning the Exmouth Business Award for leisure and tourism.

Chloe Charles, spokesman for the school, said: “It went really well – we held a mini-award ceremony for the families.

“We thanked them for helping us win the award.”

The school has recently launched its VIP card for members of the host families, which will give them discounts in some of the town’s shops.
