THE police said an incident where a 21-year-old Exmouth man was seen wielding an eight-and-a-half inch knife outside one of the town's pubs ended peacefully.
The police said the drama started when the 21-year-old had been walking home through the Strand Gardens and an argument involving a passer-by broke out near the Viper pub.
Exmouth police said the 21-year-old returned to his Victoria Road home and collected an eight-and-a-half blade after a number of other people became involved in the argument.
The incident ended peacefully when the 21-year-old dropped the knife at the request of the first passer-by, and the pair resolved their differences amicably.
