Exmouth inshore lifeboat launched for run-aground yacht

EXMOUTH inshore lifeboat was launched during an exercise on Friday lunchtime when a yacht ran aground at Starcross.

The lifeboat crew put out an anchor for the two people on board while they recovered their inflatable dingy.

Deputy coxswain Giles White said: "They went out for a quick sail but ended up going for longer than anticipated.
